How would you translate "heartbroken" or "heartbreak"? It's for a friend's tattoo that she wants to get. When she requested it, they gave her these characters, but she's not sure if it's the most correct translation of it. I know it's literally "heart" and "break", but is there a better idiom?

That's exactly how you say "heartbroken" in Chinese.

The direct translation of 心碎 is heart shattered, and that's the most original usage in Chinese.
