If you've not recieved my email, the following is what I thought of the papers.
Of the two, I found the one about the different pronunciations around Meixian the most interesting. As you know, the area described by that paper is usually termed "Jiaying", and grouped together as a near homogenous Hakka speaking area. The tones of the area are fairly similar, and there is a good amount of agreement in the sounds, however the regional variation of certain words mean that this could give the listener and speaker some problems in communication.
The other file on the 'grammar' was more a list of sentence peculiarities, rather than a proper grammar, IMO, but, I did read someway in to find that the language there had items of vocabulary different to my own.
In all, they have been interesting papers, so thank you again for finding them and allowing me to read them.
